1. Do not operate the spool valve vacuum pump without the belt guard properly installed. Disconnect the motor power supply before removing the belt guard. Before connecting the vacuum pump motor with the power supply, install the belt protection cover. If the belt guard is not properly installed, it will expose the surrounding personnel to the danger of rotating parts.
2. Do not use the pump for gas with high oxygen content in the inlet pipeline (volume content is higher than 20%), unless the vacuum pump has prepared inert gas flow for this application, which can transmit high oxygen content gas and mineral oil, or non inert gas, which can cause combustion or explosion in the pump and cause serious personal injury.
3. Pay attention to avoid excessive oil mist and process gas discharged from the air port.
4. Do not discharge gas in a closed or non ventilated indoor environment. Use a mist eliminator unless it is discharged directly to the outdoor atmosphere. The oil mist and steam discharged shall comply with local laws and regulations. Please check the local laws before running the vacuum pump with direct air discharge. We strongly recommend using a mist eliminator to exhaust to the outdoor atmosphere.
5. Do not limit the discharge of the pump in any way, or install valves in the exhaust line. In the case of low inlet pressure operation, the vacuum pump is a compressor, and will produce a high pressure. Excessive pressure may cause pump damage and serious personal injury.
6. Before disassembling or maintaining the vacuum pump, disconnect the pump motor from the main power supply. Before reconnecting the power supply, make sure that the vacuum pump is installed, the belt guard is correctly installed, and the oil filling and drain ports are installed and sealed.
7. During the maintenance of vacuum pump, accidental operation may lead to pump damage and serious personal injury.
8. Only use the lifting eyes of the pump to handle the vacuum pump. Do not use the lifting rings on the vacuum pump to carry the whole equipment connected with the pump, including the vacuum pump.
9. Do not touch the hot surface of the pump. Operating at normal low pressure, the surface temperature of the vacuum pump generally does not exceed 180 ° f (82 ° C). If operated at 200 Torr (267 mbar a) for a long time, the surface temperature can reach 220 ° f (104 ° C).
